Sometimes I'll just sit by Dave and put my head in his lap or something. He doesn't always talk a lot either, but the reason I stay up so late at night is because he likes me to be near him.Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08494061549313899425noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21452752.post-1149353492728427172006-06-03T12:51:00.000-04:002006-06-03T12:51:00.000-04:00From what I've read and experienced men need compa...From what I've read and experienced men need companionship in a different way than woemn. Women like to face the other person and converse. Men don't need to face each other and they don't necessarily need to talk. That's why they can sit out all day in a fishing boat (talking too much scares the fish) or up in a tree stand, talk very little, and say they had a great time together. Sit by Adam when he watches TV once in a while. He'll appreciate you just being there.Marthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15293816902877287168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21452752.post-1149341036967114142006-06-03T09:23:00.000-04:002006-06-03T09:23:00.000-04:00We did take a nice walk down the pier last Saturda...We did take a nice walk down the pier last Saturday... It was very relaxing. But getting Adam out during the week is tough, especially since he's been working late lately. Then it's hard because he just wants to come home and relaxe. I'd love to schedule time with my hubby... I wonder if he'd be up for that?Bethanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08076355886344424301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21452752.post-1149309564579796202006-06-03T00:39:00.000-04:002006-06-03T00:39:00.000-04:00Uncle Dave and I discussed the communication issue...Uncle Dave and I discussed the communication issue together to see what works for us. We think taking a walk every day for a half hour or so would give you time together where you could be out enjoying the fresh air, and also talk without it being a forced thing. I think we as women need that communication because it feeds us emotionally. Somehow it makes us feel loved and accepted by our man. Men don't seem to need this as much as we do, but I think if you took a planned walk each day, it's a very relaxed way to get out your thoughts on the day and whatever else, AND Louis would love it.Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08494061549313899425noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21452752.post-1149305704913289372006-06-02T23:35:00.000-04:002006-06-02T23:35:00.000-04:00Sounds like you had a very busy day. You'll get his attention pretty quick.Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08494061549313899425noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21452752.post-1149304800851966872006-06-02T23:20:00.000-04:002006-06-02T23:20:00.000-04:00Pie always tastes better after it sits for a day a...Pie always tastes better after it sits for a day anyway.

I don't have any real answers about the communication slump. Don't worry too much about it...just make sure you schedule times for the two of you to do things together. Walks, dates, getting up on a Saturday to cook breakfast together. It takes work and unfortunately keeping up communication with one another doesn't always come naturally. Keep working at it everyday.
