I was inspired by Aunt Priscilla
and decided to try my name too.
***Your German Name is:***
Elli Anneliese
I think this name is much too long to switch to
especially when I have a name as nice as Bethany.
But it is a nice thought.

Did you type in both your first and middle names or just the first?
ReplyDeleteIt is different every single time you punch it in. I did mine about 4 times and it was different every time.
ReplyDeleteJust my first... What was your name when you tried it Jazzy?
ReplyDeleteIt said "Gott segnen Sie!" but then again, I had just sneezed.
ReplyDeleteI deleted it from my blog. I think those tests are so dumb! I also was a little afraid it would offend my friends.
ReplyDeleteThat is funny! How do they come up with these ideas? Anneliese is a very old name and NOBODY would name a child today Anneliese. Elli, Yes, but not A.
ReplyDeleteI don't know...Priscilla was a rather old name in '66, but my parents chose it.
ReplyDeleteActually, Anneliese might be a name chosen here in the US.
Rach...did you try Liesl's name?
that is so neat and a pretty name as well!
ReplyDeleteyes Anneliese is used here,
ReplyDeletethere is a girl in my daughters pre school that has that name.
I think it is a pretty name nd it's shame it isn't being used more in Germanay.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a little girl, my best friend was named Birgit. Her parents were from Germany. I'd go to play there and they would speak to her in German. She would always answer in English. I think she was self concious in front of me so she wouldn't speak in German. I could never understand why she would feel that way. I hope your kids are smarter than that, Gudrun.
