House Hunting

So Adam and I are house hunting. So far we've looked
at three homes (well, three after this evening).

This house needed to be burned down.

This house needed a new septic system and a bit of work to restore the floor/foundation.

This house might be just right, except for it is right in the middle of a mission field. In which case I might need a big dog. We're looking at this one tonight.

What's a mission field? That last one looks cute. Have Dave and Leta inspired you guys?

We liked the last one too... We're putting in an offer tomorrow. Actually, we've wanted a house for a while, but the plan had been to build. We recently decided to look for a small home, save up our money, and build in the future.

A mission field is an area where people need Jesus.... But the area is actually improved in the last several years.

I'm excited!

I really knew what a mission field was, but I thought there was another meaning too. I guess if you get it, you'll be the missionaries!

Yeah, I always wanted to be a missionary!

All houses are in the middle of a mission field.

Yes Priscilla, you are correct.

All Christians should consider themselves on the mission field as long as we remain on earth, but... sometimes it helps to remember that fact, especially when a home may be in a "slightly" less than perfect neighborhood.

The house looks nice, Beth, and I'm glad that so far the Lord has not called you too far away. :)
