My Man

Today, when I went to Mom's house after work, we played in the snow. Hannah, Mom and I made some cool snowmen. This is my snowman... He's got a great head of hair, don't you think? What a dude!

No Breakfast For You!

Well, I never made it to work today, so I hope you didn't go for breakfast. Yeah, I got sick and therefore I stayed home. I was putting my shoes on to go out the door... yup, good thing I hadn't already left. I feel okay now, but I'm playing it safe. Not too sure whether or not to go grocery shopping later or not. I suppose I'll play it by ear.

Yuck

Today I feel yuck. Please pray that I will feel better.

Breakfast Anyone???

If anyone needs breakfast tomorrow, I'll be working. I can deliver to you a wonderful meal of eggs, toast, homefries, and bacon... Or Cindy's Cinnamon French Toast (my favorite)... Or maybe even a breakfast croissant (yummm!). Please come join me for a lovely time with hospitable people and friendly faces at a quaint little diner in Upstate New York. I"d love to have your company... And I love familiar faces... :o)

Lot's of Time

Life has been busy lately. I have a feeling that it won't slow down either... Between work, work and work, I haven't had much free time this week. But I did have a revelation on the way home this evening. I just may spend somewhere around 10 hours a week driving. That might seem like a lot of wasted time if you add it all up at the end of my life. But driving hours could be very productive if I spent them with Jesus. So my prayer life isn't exactly blossoming right now... But I realized that it isn't because I don't have any time. I usually drive without the radio on and it's just me and my thoughts. I will occasionally pray, but I could dedicate all that time to my Savior. Imagine how well you could get to know someone with all that time to talk...

My German Name

I was inspired by Aunt Priscilla
and decided to try my name too.

***Your German Name is:***

Elli Anneliese

I think this name is much too long to switch to
especially when I have a name as nice as Bethany.
But it is a nice thought.

I'm a Hopeless Romantic

At the restaurant, we're getting ready for Valentine's Day. We sell chocolate and goodies besides regular food and thus become very busy at such times of the year. So in honor of Valentines Day andThirteen Thursday I shall post thirteen "romantic" things or ideas. (Besides, I have to work tomorrow, so I'll no time to blog then.)

1) a single red rose
2) a box of chocolates

this is going to be harder than I thought...

3) a handwritten Valentine card, via the mailbox
4) a bouqet of flowers
5) a surprise gift sent to your work, so all the other girls can be jealous
6) a delicious homemade meal made special just for you
7) watching the sunset together
8) dancing together
9) a warm snuggle by the fire place
10) gently falling snow and moonlit skies
11) a note in the lunchbox
12) when he sings to you (does this really happen, or is it only a joke?)
13) a gentle kiss

Okay, so maybe all of those things aren't neccesarily your fancy, but are nice to me... What kind of things do you think are romantic? (Ugh, I'm such a girl... Don't worry, I'm not getting my hopes up. Adam has school next Wednesday.)

Veggie Booty

So when I went to Wegmans today, I wandered through the organic section. This is my lastest phase... "See what good foods there are in the organic section." I'm not sure what started me on this. Probably a number of different things. Anyway... So in the "snack" isle, there were these bagged snacks like veggie chips, organic corn chips, potato chips, etc., etc... And then there were Veggie Booty. Honestly it was the name that caught my attention first. And the fact that there was a picture of a pirate and his ship on the front of the bag. "Hmm. Interesting. Who would want to buy a snack with the word booty on the front? Not me." I pick it up. Puffed rice and corn. "It could be interesting enough to try." Made with spinach and kale. "Probably gross... but probably healthy. I'll try it. Worst case scenario is that I hate it and it was a waste of $1.99. Best case scenario... Adam hates it and I love it and I have a snack all to myself." Well, sometimes it pays to go through the organic section at Wegmans. Because I found a good healthy snack that I love and that Adam will hate (I'm assuming) and it's made with vegetables. Hooray!
