Our New Baby

On Monday evening we welcomed a new baby into our family. It was kind of unexpected, I admit. But wonderful just the same. I know most of you disapproved, but Adam doesn't read my blog.
She's eleven (almost twelve) weeks old and she's pretty sweet. Her name is Molly, but I call her Baby. She is an American Staffordshire, like Roxy (our friends dog: see previous post from early June). Baby is a good girl and doesn't pee in the house while I go to work. We close her in the bathroom when we're not home and I am so pleased that she knows bathrooms are not for dogs to go potty in. Adam takes her out at night, if she needs to go... but she hasn't had to last night or the night before. I like her.

PS Adam did it, not me. As I said, I was surprised to find a puppy at my house Monday evening.

I think you have a beautiful Baby there! She seems like a nice little dog and I'm sure she'll be all trained by the end of October. Better to get a puppy now than to wait until September!

Okay, cute puppy! When you talk about the "baby", will she think you are calling her?

She is beautiful! I love the name Molly for her, it's cute! I call Jake "Baby" all the time too, but then I also call him "Jakie Bake" and "Bakieboo" as well. Like your mom said...she'll be all trained by October so that's a good thing. How big will she get?

They can get in all sorts of mischief together! Won't that be fun?

Thanks Aunt Priscilla... I think you're trying to give me a reality check.

She should grow to be about horse size and then we can ride her into town. It'll save on gas money... Okay, okay, I think she'll be about the same size as Roxy although she has nice big paws now. We shall see. (Roxy is medium-large size)

Adam is trying to get me to stop calling her Baby... But it's like retraining my brain and I like Baby better than Molly. I must be a bad wife :(

In four months you'll be calling somebody else "Baby".
