A Potato for a Friend

The other night, while we were sitting in the living room, Louis came through with a new toy. I had left a potato on the counter the night before, and guess who found it? He walked right by with the helpless spud in his mouth. Louis dropped the potato on the floor and began batting it around as if it were a mouse. I wish I could've gotten a picture of the potato in his mouth, but he walked by too quickly. We found it rather funny that a cat would choose a potato to play with. But then again, he is often carrying off my things. Hairclips, hair bands, garlic, slippers and now a potato. Someday he'll have to learn that what is on the counter is to stay on the counter and not to be played with.

I love it! "He walked right by with the helpless spud in his mouth." That's too funny. Aren't animals entertaining? They're just like kids only you can go away and leave them home alone all day without having to answer to child protectives.

That is too cute! Why do "kids" always like to play with everything except their toys?

Cats like kids! Since when do you you see your kid walk by with a potato in its mouth!

Ahh! You have obviously never had kids, Al! Once I had a kid with a thumb tack in his mouth and another one swalloed a quarter. I found it in his diaper a day or so later. Ouch!

What I meant was Louis is like a kid who never wants to play with his toys, but wants everything else that isn't a toy, to play with. I have a picture of Michael as a baby playing with a measuring cup and a shoe.

Yes, he is like a kid... in more ways than one. He never listens either, but he knows when he's been caught at being disobedient. Then again, he's real cute and loveable (most of the time). I like him dispite of himself.

PS. Mom, it was you who taught us to use descriptives in our writing. We may not have written alot, but we did learn somethings!
