Thinking About and Reaching Goals

So my goal this year is to have at least 100 posts by the end of the year. So far, I stink at reaching goals. Maybe I could change my life around, eh? Lately I've been doing a lot of thinking. I think about cleaning the house. I think about my flabby thighs. I think about Valentines Day and how it is a stupid holiday. I think about being more creative and energetic. I think about reading my Bible more. I think about learning Spanish. I think about El Salvador. I think about Joshua. I think about the future. I think about life. There's just plum a lot to think about around here!

Sometimes I need a little motivation to do the things that I've always wanted to do. Maybe a friend who is doing the same thing or who will keep on top of you until something is accomplished. So my challenge to you is to challenge me to do things. I feel like a fat, lazy blob (who is also boring) who needs a kick in the butt to actually be the creative person I enjoy being. So, I am bracing myself for that first kick...

You have always struck me as someone who is very creative and thinks outside of the box. If I lived near you, maybe we could exercise together...but it doesn't look like that will work. I have a flabby gut as well as flabby thighs.

Hey...I plan on running the Crosswinds 5k at the end of August. Would you like to run it too?

I'll kick you in the butt!!! It would be my pleasure ;-)

Set a small short term goal for yourself...it doesn't have to be anything major...something like; today I will wash the dishes! It will feel great to accoplish your goal then you can set another. The goals you have for writting 100 posts or learning spanish are time consuming and hard to reach...start small...I will write one post this week (maybe two)...or I will learn 5 new spanish words and their meaning this week.

Keep strong and have faith in yourself...it's your best motivator...that and me giving you a little butt kicking every now and again ;-)

I ran/walked a 5K once. It was hard. AND it was almost 6 years ago. It would be harder now. Let's do it Aunt Priscilla. I have six months to prep. Time to go with Adam to the gym. I don't like feeling my lower half jiggle as I walk.

Ann... Keep kicking! Five new words this week...

I think writing 100 blog posts in a year is a very reachable goal. Well, if you aren't limiting it to 100 that is.

Now when your chin doubles up, then you can call yourself fat, but not until then!

Adios, amigos!

I ran the 5k three years ago. I managed to do it without stopping. If I could do it at 40, you can do it, Beth!

I found your blog via "Life As I See It" and thought i'd say hi. I'm also from upstate (central) NY. You're the first person that i've found in NY via the blogoshere! Great goals...hope that you persevere and accomplish them.
