Made For You, With Love

Today has been a nice quiet sort of day, spent at home doing home like things. Josh has had a sleepy day (probably from coughing so much last night) and that leaves me with time to clean. By mid afternoon, I was wondering what I should do next. It had to be something fairly quiet but not any huge sort of project. Cookies have been sounding awful good lately, so I decided that's what I would do... make cookies. I made a batch of Old-Fashioned Sour Cream Cookies, which I have not had in ages and are oh, so yummy. I have already eaten enough to have lasted me a couple days. I better draw the line somewhere or else there will be none left for Adam. Or I could eat as many as I can now because when Adam gets a hold of them, there won't be any left for me. Hmm... What to do, what to do?

Little Josh has been sick this past week. He cut his third tooth last Thursday and along with the tooth came a runny nose, goopy eyes and a bad cough. I was tempted to call the doctor but, seeing as he didn't have a fever and was acting as happy as usual, I have been waiting it out. He seems to be much better today and I think I made a good call. It's hard to know exactly what to do, especially since I'm kinda new at this mothering business. Hopefully his next several teeth won't be so hard on him.

The sun is shining brightly ouitside, but it is rather deceiving. I wouldn't leave home without a good coat on today. Yesterday I made that mistake and I was rather chilly on the way home. Spring is putting up a good fight with winter, trying it's best to come. I am anxiously waiting to be able to do yard work without having to wear a coat. It'll be soon, so I won't complain.

Yesterday it was 66 degrees and I am proud to say that I didn't wear a coat!! Today on the other hand I am not so proud to say that I didn't wear a coat and I was chilly (since it was only in the low 40's).

Your cookies look so yummy! I'm glad that you had a chance to get some stuff done, although I'm sure that Josh would've LOVED to "help" you make cookies, and then "lick" the bowl. I'm so glad to hear that he's feeling better!

Yes, that sunshine was definitely deceiving today! Calling us outside into the bitter wind was a naughty trick, but warmer days are coming!

I wish we could trade cookies...I made chocolate chips today...may be my last batch before the move!!

I'll trade some with you Wanda! I think Adam like chocolate chip better anyway... These he insisted needed frosting, which we do not have. He improvised with jam :)

I didn't wear a coat the other day and then regretted it when the wind blew in the cold weather. Brr!

I think making cookies is a wonderful thing to do with your time! Yum. They look great!

Sometimes mine don't look that nice even with a cookie cutter! I usually put them too close together on the cookie sheet and that ruins one side of them. Oh well! They still taste good.

My mom once had a friend ask how she made square cookies... Hmmm, put them too close on the cookie sheet so that they run together and you have to cut them apart with the spatula? Yea, that's how.

It is hard knowing when to call a Dr or when things will just go away on there own!!
Hope he's feeling better soon!!

And yes, you do have a "drama queen" to look forward to ;) Lol. I am shocked that Judah is like that... but everyone has said it's normal and will go away :)
