A Homemade, Handmade Heirloom

Here is the cradle that my Dad made for baby. Pretty soon we will put it to good use. The other night while lying in bed, after having false labor contractions for a good hour or so, I could hear Adam rocking the cradle. He was getting some practice in for the real thing. He keeps asking me, "When is the baby gonna come?" He's not very patient either. Today I am more patient than I've been all week. The baby will come soon, when it's good and ready. After all, no one wants an undercooked baby...

Very very nice! The baby will sleep good in there!
Good thinking about the timing of the birth! It will happen when 'it' is ready!!
Best wishes!

I'm getting tire of walking the floor waiting for you to "pop"! Like a watch pot never boils, Beth never "pops"! :)

What a beautiful cradle! Your dad is very talented. That will be a special piece in the family for years to come!

I think that baby's cooked long enough now.

I see you are getting some practice with the camera. That is a good thing. Soon you will be taking pictures of the baby. I can't wait!

I agree Aunt Rachel. It's time for the baby to come out of the pot.

Now little Joshua can use the cradle that his loving grandfather made him! Yeah! (I hope he is using it a bit and you are getting some rest.)

Congratulations to your baby boy Joshua! All the best.
I hope you feel ok Bethany.
It takes a while to recover from birth and all....
Hope the nursing goes well, too!
